Sex Trafficking in the Marange Diamond Fields
Marange Womens Alliance directed this documentary to give voice to the victims and survivors of sex trafficking that live in their community. The film explores how they entered trafficking and often how they transition to a life of complacency with their positions. The systematic trafficking in the mining community has been eye opening for those in Marange and internationally. Since the documentaries first release, it has become successful in garnering support in the fight of sex trafficking, uniting the international jewelry industry, the local diamond mines, local police and all stake holders to work together.
